Welcome to Zuzanii Designs, my world of creativity – where the beauty of nature meets vibrant design. I’m an Australian Surface Pattern Designer situated in the heart of Sydney, where I draw inspiration from the breathtaking flora, fauna, and patterns that grace the landscapes of the Gadigal Land.
My Story:
As a lifelong creative, I’ve been sketching and sewing since my early years. Little did I know that these passions could seamlessly merge into the beautiful world of Surface Pattern Design. Over two decades ago, I took a textile design class at TAFE, laying the foundation for my artistic journey. However, the demands of raising a family meant temporarily setting aside this pursuit.
Now, as my children have grown older, I’ve rekindled my love for surface pattern design. My journey is a testament to the belief that creativity knows no age limits. The vibrant and dynamic energy of my designs reflects not only my artistic prowess but also the joy of returning to a passion that has waited patiently.
My art style is a celebration of nature’s beauty – floral, colorful, and pastel. Drawing inspiration from daily walks, where I capture the essence of flowers, animals, and natural patterns, my creations are a harmonious blend of Art Deco and Mid Century art styles. The result is a collection that is both lively and serene, bright yet calming, and with a clean, smooth finish that defines my unique approach to design.
